Rocket, Design that rocks [The New Yooxer]

An irreverent spirit, a functional soul and a desire to astound. Born between Milan and London, the idea for the Rocket collection came from designers Marco Fanelli and Luca Bregoli, whose objects for the home add a distinctive and original touch to any space and now can be found in a preview selection on

Much emphasis is put into the research of practical, lightweight materials and advanced production technology: the result is a witty, entertaining collection entirely Made in Italy. Yet it was London’s East End indie scene that inspired the two young designers to create a line of products honoring rock’n’roll icons. Their original mix of design and wall décor includes Smash Hit – a shelf that makes reference to guitars broken on stage by performers like Jimi Hendrix or the Clash – as well as the Wine Jack bottle-holder and the modular Rocks Table.

From the living room to the kitchen, every space becomes funkier up with items like a set of colorful coasters designed to look like old vinyl records, the Dish Jockey tray in the shape of a console or the GuiTray shot-glass holder. Mirrors that are dressed up as rock stars and shelves that look like old-fashioned car stereos give this collection its anti-conformist feel: a perfect gift idea for anyone who wants to add rhythm and personality to their home.
